MobilGard" family, a trusted brand for over 60 years, is growing

Dear Valued Customer,

Currently, your Marine four-stroke engines are lubricated with some of the same Mobil Delvac™ oils as used in commercial and industrial applications, due to their shared design heritage. We are now moving oils for Marine engines to MobilGard™, as this will allow any future product formulation to be better tailored to specific marine applications.

The MobilGard™ products replacing their Mobil Delvac™ counterparts will maintain the same level of performance, please consult your EM engineer or PDS for OEM approvals and claims.

The details of the new MobilGard product names, and which Delvac products they are replacing for Marine, are as follows:

J Mobilgard™ 1 HSD 5W-40 will replace

J Mobil Delvac™ 1 ESP 5W-40

J Mobil Delvac™ 1 5W-40

J Mobil Delvac™ 1 SHC 5W-40

J Mobilgard” HSD+ 15W-40 will replace

J Mobil Delvac™ MX ESP 15W-40

J Mobil Delvac™ 1300 Super 15W-40

J Mobilgard” HSD 15W-40 CI-4 will replace

J Mobil Delvac™ MX 15W-40

J Mobilgard™ ADL 40 and Mobilgard"" ADL 30 will replace respectively

J Mobil Delvac™ 1640 and Mobil Delvac™ 1630

The move to MobilGard™ has already commenced and it will continue for the next several months. To check at which ports the new products are available, please visit the Ports and Services Guide portal or speak to your local ExxonMobil contact.
