Mobilgard HSD 15W-40 CI-4 is Biodiesel Compatible

Governments across South East Asia are increasingly mandating the use of biodiesel – a fuel blend that contains varying levels of bio-content; predominantly palm oil.

Use of biodiesel blend may have adverse effects on your high speed diesel engine due to the increased risk of fuel diluting the engine oil. Biodiesel dilution can lead to the oxidation and degradation of lubricant.

We are proud to share that our Mobilgard HSD 15 W-40 CI-4 has been tested and found to be Biodiesel Compatible based on CEC L-109-14 (test modified with palm B100), meeting the limits in ACEA E7-16. This test affirms the protective capability of our oil against biodiesel induced oxidation.

We will be including the biodiesel compatibility marketing claim on our drum and pail label as highlighted below. This change will be implemented concurrently with the Mobilgard HSD 15W-40 CI-4 brand name update.

The first batch of the product with the updated label mentioning the biodiesel compatibility claim will be produced earliest on the week of 16th NovemberAs we draw down our existing stock, it might take some time before products with the updated label be made available for distributor ordering.
